SimTiki is the healthcare simulation based education center at the John A Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). SimTiki facilitates over 3,000 simulation based training encounters annually. As of February 2015, SimTiki Simulation Center was one of the first ten centers in the nation accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare for the field of Teaching/Education and Research, and since then achieved additional accreditation for Assessment.

SimTiki Vision

SimTiki is the technology enabled learning simulation center of the John A Burns School of Medicine. SimTiki supports excellence in simulation based education for healthcare students and professionals through teaching and operation of an academic simulation center. We pursue alliances locally, nationally, and in the Asia Pacific region. SimTiki promotes improvement in Teaching, Educational Research, and Training for Patient Care Best Practices.
International Research Fellows Highlight

Dr. Hyunsoo Park, MD (Top)  is an Emergency Medicine physician from Jeju National University Hospital, developing a debriefing skills curriculum. 

Dr. Jiyoung Rhee, MD (Bottom) previously with Jeju National University Hospital is an oncologist interested in using simulation to teach empathy and communication skills.

They are the first married fellows at SimTiki!
